I saw Woodyard on during the first goalline stand, then they spent a lot of time with Brooking in his spot over the duration of the first half. Woodyard got a lot of time in obvious running situations, although he was not really in a playmaking role... He always seemed to be right near the guy making the tackle in the second half, when the Falcons were trying to kill the clock, but rarely the guy making the tackle... I know I needed him to score 7 points last night, he was the last active player in my matchup, so I was ultra locked in on him. He ended up scoring me 5 and a half, and I lost by 1.4, haha.
I believe he is the special teams captain, and was definitely on the punt and kickoff teams. In a game against less dynamic, more grinding offense, I think he could be relied on for tackles, but I don't think he's the kind of athlete that is going to be making plays all over the field, like he seemed in week one. Maybe it was just opportunity of going against a conservative offense like the Steelers, with ordinary backs like Redman and Dwyer getting the carries. I dunno, but I dropped Woodyard following the game.
