What happened to Donta Hightower?

In the first 2 games following Jamie Collins trade Hightower put up 16 tackles and a sack. I thought he'd be a monster with Collins gone and that looked to be the case. Then in week 12 he only had 3 tackles. I know he played 100% of snaps so no issues there. Any idea what happened? Hold or drop?

The Pats are rotating LBs, and Hightower has always been streaky, anyways.  If better options are available, I would drop him.  He's a LB3+ in my opinion.
