Week 13 is the first week of playoffs in my 16-team standard league. IDP scoring is very solo tackle heavy (worth 1 point while assists are only 0.25).
The big question is, do I start Jamie Collins or Telvin Smith in Week 13? This is only a 1 week play so no need to consider ROS scoring.
Jamie Collins: - Has been consistent since Jerod Mayo went down, other than the dud game last week
- Playing GB Packers this week, which could see see Eddie Lacy pound the rock all day against NE's subpar run defense, to avoid NE's top-tier pass defense
- Plays in GB this week, where the stats crew is very middle of the road (#15 solos, #16 assists)
- The Packers allow the 5th fewest fantasy points to LBs this year
Telvin Smith: - Just got promoted to playing an every down role, had a big game last week proving he deserves to stay in this role
- Plays for the Jaguars, so will see a lot of playing time due to overall team suckage
- Plays at home this week, where the stats crew is less generous (#17 solos, #23 assists)
- Plays against NYG; Eli Manning is a little more pass-heavy and might look to exploit JACs poor pass-defense
- But, NYG just got a 100% healthy Reshad Jennings back at RB, who should get 15 - 20 touches and could eat up the 4th quarter just pounding the rock
So, lots to consider...and I can only choose one for week 13. Who should it be??
