Grabbed both these guys this year expecting big things. Both need a waterproof cover on their mattress`. Any thoughts as to what I should do with them or predictions for the rest of the year?
The packages NE are using are really limiting Ninkovich and the one big game he had I benched him out of frustration. Is he still a weekly must start? Should I dump him and roll week to week on the wire? I also have JPP at this position and can start 1-2 DL each week (start 3 total DB & DL, I have Ishmael and Clinton Dix at DB). Do I just get a divorce with Burfict? Move on? I also have Brandon Marhsall and Demario Davis in a 2 LB starting league. Here are some other LB names that stick out available on the wire; Peppers, Barr, Lansanah, Rey, Dumervil, Bradham, KJ Wright, Matthews, Durant, and McClain. Should I just lean on Marshall and play the LB roulette wheel every week with the wire? |
I've been wrestling with what to do with Burfict, as well. My plan is to give him one more week to see if he can get through a game without getting hurt. If he tackles with the crown of his helmet again this week, I'm dropping him like a rock.
Inre Nikovich, I don't trust anything Belichick...nobody knows what he'll do with players until he does it. Looking at your waiver choices, I will say that I picked up Bradham as my LB3/4. Was rolling with Preston Brown for a few weeks, but dropped him after week 4. I'm still struggling with whether to stick with Bradham, as Buffalo's LB roulette is an enigma to me. Rey is a guy I've been keeping an eye on. I understand that he will be starting at MLB this week, and given Burfict's propensity to hurt himself....well, you know. Rey is still likely to come out on nickel packages, so there's that to consider as well. |
Vontaze you gotta keep, its very unlikely your gonna get fair value for a top 5-7 LB, hes been good while playing, and his injuries are more luck than anything, he should be fine.
Ninkovich, scares me, Im staying away. FYI Barr, Durant I like, Barr is under-rated and the #2 Rookie LB, solid tackles and gets pressure on the passer, I have barr as my LB 4 for my 4 bye weeks and hes very solid. |

Well it was nice to get some production out of Ninkovich.
Anyone ready to dump Burfict now? WTF? This guy is made out of Popsicle sticks. |
Hold unless in your in a really shallow league, dont be the guy who drops him ( injury 99% of the time are chance, hell be fine)
Did you grab Barr? |

10 Teams, 3 LB per team. Start 2.
I didn't grab Barr, I fumbled big time. So back to square one. Brandon Marshall performing, Burfict killing me, and a wire full of possibility as I dumped Davis. This weeks wire looks: Preston Brown, Rolando McClain, Aldon Smith or Bowman as a stash, AJ Hawk, Matthews, Lamur, JT Thomas and Burris. |

If you need help this week McClain is your safest bet for tackles(Brown is more hit/miss but my #2), if you have room to stash, Aldon Smith is a beast( ensure you check your scoring..if he a top LB last year, great stash)..Bowman really good in all scoring systems
Keep an eye out for LB for the Gaints from USC, Devon Kennard... if he gets alot of snaps, I'm grabbing him, hes a big hitter who's fast and if he gets Beasons full time roll, will be a LB2/3 down the stretch and great dynasty grab. |
