Verner or Mays?

I picked up Alterraun Verner off waivers to use as a bye week filler.  However, Taylor Mays is also available and I was thinking about picking him up to replace Verner.  I already have Bernard Pollard as my #1 DB and need know should I keep Verner or pick up Mays for my #2 DB.  Thanks in advance and your advice is always appreciated!

Verner is the better play this week in my opinion. But Mays is the better long-term option. If you're willing to take a slight hit this week in order to ensure you get Mays, then do it. If not, stick with Verner and hope Mays is still there next week.

Just want to say "thanks" for the advice.  I stayed with Verner and it paid dividends.  I guess that is why you are the IDP Guru of Fantasy Football.  :-)
