Trade Help

I'm looking to upgrade at safety. My starting safeties are Branch(Oak) and Chung(NE). I'm really strong at LB and looking to move one of them. My LB's are: Timmons(Pit), Derick Johnson(KC), Laurinaitis(StL), McCarthy(Ten), Bowman(SF), and Daryl Washington(Ari).

Who would you look to trade and who would you go after?

Re: Trade Help

I honestly wouldn't trade. You aren't getting to get good value by trading any of those LBs for a DB. DBs are a dime a dozen on the WW. I guarantee there will be a handful of guys that put up top 15-20 that nobody expected.

Re: Trade Help

I think for corners that's true but I cant remember in the past couple years a safety undrafted in most leagues coming out of nowhere and putting off big numbers

Re: Trade Help

I can name a handful in recent years that I weren't on a ton of people's radars:

1) George Wilson
2) Pat Chung
3) Kam Chancellor
4) Darian Stewart
5) Charlie Peprah (now cut)
6) Reggie Nelson

I'll admit these year isn't as good as previous for predicting those "sleeper" DBs. Last year I called out Chancellor and the year before I called out Wilson and Chung and rode them to the championship. The situation is a bit muddier this season, but there is still a ton of value to be had on the wire IMO.

Re: Trade Help

Any idea who will replace Peprah in GB and if he can put up similar numbers

Re: Trade Help

They've actually been rotating Charles Woodson over to the safety position with Shield at cornerback. Shields has really struggled though so they may turn to Jarrett Bush at CB.
