Robert Mathis where eligible for DE?

Hi Guru,

In your article on IDP position changes, you said you don't expect Robert Mathis to be as successful at LB as he was at DE. That makes sense as far as drafting him for a LB spot, but how would you rate him against other defensive linemen in Yahoo leagues, where he currently retains his DE eligibility? Should I be targeting him ahead of high-end DL2 types like Cliff Avril and Chris Clemons?

If classified as a DE still, I think Mathis falls into the top 15 and should be drafted alongside other DL2+ guys like Avril and Clemons. i would say he's slightly behind those two guys, however. It's close though.
