Question about passes defended

I get .5 points for an assist and 1 point for a solo, along with 3 points for an interception and 1 point for passes defended.  So would that make some cornerbacks more valuable than safties who can rack up the tackles?  I have Berry and Chancellor currently, but there are guys like DeAngleo Hall, Verner, and Jennings on the waiver wire.

So should I add any of those CB's and possibly start them over Berry/Chanceller, or am I just overreacting to the slow start by those two?

Godfrey, Griffen, and Ward are also available, so do you think any of those guys should be added?  Thanks for your help.

I like Verner a lot (preseason sleeper of mine) and I think he can post 80+ solos and get you INTs and PDs. I'd pick him up and start him.
