P Willis' hammy

Anyone heard anything about the severity of Patrick Willis' hamstring injury?

MRI shows a grade 2 hammy ( which will self-heal) and he will miss some practice time and probably one game.

That's good news for him & the 49ers, but bad news for those of us who are in deep leagues and start our playoffs in wk 14.

Will Larry Grant the one who fills his spot next week? Is he a decent option? How do we replace Willis next week Guru?

Here are the LBs that I think are the best remaining LBs in my league.

Mayo @ WAS (disappointing)
Maualuga vs HOU (disappointing)
Larry Grant @ ARI (unknown)

Who would you take in a tackle heavy league to try to replace Willis?

Maualuga is your best option of the 3 the rest of the season due to his favorable remaining schedule.

Think I read somewhere that he was pulled in some of the base snaps last week. Cause for concern?

Edit: did some checking, apparently he was pulled from some of the nickel snaps

If that's correct it makes Rey a little less appealing. Theoritically though, the Bengals shouldn't need to be in the nickel much against the Texans, Rams, and Cards...right?

True, but he was dinged up a bit last game as well. Don't get me wrong, the guy's ballin' and I'd like to pull the trigger but sitting with some studs myself. Be interested to see what he does this weekend.

I am a Willis owner and I am rolling the dice with Colin McCarthy (TEN).  The kid has been playing lights out.  Even though it is against the Saints (Bummer) I think he will still get good Tackle Numbers.  All in all, I chose McCarthy over Maualuga and Mayo...

Dropped Searcy and nabbed him. Sitting with Willis, Williams, Jackson, and McCarthy - our playoffs start next week and his schedule looks too tempting. Have the stash spot now that Wilson is a go.
