LB adds and drops

I'll probably have to make some decisions before you can answer this, but I would like to know your opinion anyway
so for this week i have room for 5 LB's on my roster, and i start 4. Right now my LB's kinda suck,

Woodyard
Riley
demeco ryans
keenan robinson
mason foster

and there are 3 guys I want to pick up
Lofton (don't know why he got dropped)
trevathan (if i have room for him, might try to wait and hope no one else grabs him this week)
Mcclain
I am not super worried about mcclain possibly still being hurt because waiver claims are instant, and i can always just grab someone last minute. My question is who do i drop? Woodyard is the only one I still feel pretty good about. Who among the rest has the most hope for bouncing back?

Re: LB adds and drops

I also have Woodyard and Riley on my team. Riley has been a huge disappointment. I wonder this is due to game situation or he is no longer elite. I consider drop Rilet for Damario Davis. Is this bold move?

@ Bryan, I think you have to drop Foster.  I know, he's the MLB in the Tampa 2, logic says he should produce well.  On the other hand, he's been injured and Lavonte David is an absolute stud!  David is the backer to own on this years Bucs team.  Hold tight on Riley, he's off to a slow start but has proven to be a great source of tackles the last 2 years even with the tackle machine that was London Fletcher playing beside him.  The 'Skins defense will come back to down to earth and the tackle opps. will be aplenty.

If you can stockpile Trevathan, do it.  I like him long term.

Otherwise, for immediate production, I like McClain.

I wouldn't bail on Foster yet, but he should be on a very short leash at this point.   If he doesn't show some bright signs this week, eighty-six him.   I'm not a big Demeco fan this year, but I'd probably ditch Riley before him.   His points are only existent because of that sack, and he's at best a 3-4 sack/year guy in Washington.

I'm stuck with Woodyard too, who I got good value on, but probably is at most a 65-70 solo tackle guy this year.

Re: LB adds and drops

So both Hitchen and McClain are available in my league. Drop Riley to pick up one of them? Stay put with Riley for one more week as we do not know whether who will be the MLB, Hitchen or McClain, this week?

Re: LB adds and drops

Stick with Riley.  He has a great matchup tonight; with the Giants just rushing it 35 times last week.  On top of that, the NFC EAST is a run 1st division this year, check the stats.  The more runs he faces, the better the opportunity he has to put points up for you.  IDP is all about opportunity and Riley will have his share.  He'll be just fine, he's proven his worth over the last two years.  At this point in the season, unless you're 0-3, there is zero need to panic and go with an uncertain situation I.E. Mclain/Hitchens and who plays based upon injury.  Hear me now and thank me later :)
