Keep JPP or D'Qwell?

Who should I pick as a keeper for one more year:
 - JPP
 - D'Qwell

Tackle point league where LB's are the studs... but this is JPP!!! Should I make the exception this one year? Tempting...

 - 14 team league
 - start 2 DL, 2 LB, 2 DB

Re: Keep JPP or D'Qwell?

IMO JPP is a stud but there's so many good DL's that you could pick in your draft (assuming) that most your league will keep LB's as you said, they are the studs of the league. D'Qwell is a top 10 guy 100% (unless he gets hurt)

Re: Keep JPP or D'Qwell?

This is a tough one. I would normally say keep JPP as DLs are much harder to find than LBs. Not many DLs emerge on the waiver wire during the year, but lots of LBs do (e.g. Desmond Bishop, Colin McCarthy, Pat Angerer, etc.).

D'Qwell is likely the most valuable player in your scoring system and is a low-risk bet, however.

The thing I would ultimately look at is how many more points Jackson scored compared to the next ranked linebacker and do the same for JPP. Whichever player has the greatest "relative value" is the player I'd keep.

Yeah I do the same relative scoring analysis in my draft prep so I will take it from there. I have a feeling it will be toss up or a gut call.

Re: Keep JPP or D'Qwell?

FA pool is the determining factor.
If LBers are much less available on your WW, than you have to go with DQ since the stock at the position is much less available, even though JPP is a stud,, the drop off at his pos is much less severe.

100% agree.
