Re: Jon Bostic

I think year 1 best case scenario is he's a two down thumper, not sure if he has the skills to play every down at this point. The Bears obviously are higher on him than most are though, so there's an outside chance he could become a full-time starter post year 1. Consider him a top 7 rookie linebacker.

Re: Jon Bostic

thanks for getting back to me.
ive seen him going fairly early in rookie only drafts i would say top 5lb even behind brown, alonso, minter, Ogletree, i dont think that i see anyone who's long term upside i like better , i mean he has a shot to be an every down lb in the middle for the bears cant get much better for long term upside as far as situation do you agree?
Looking at it outside of brown i dont  think i like any of those guys situation more .. Alonso looks good Imo but it sound like he will play Slb in 4-3 packages with bradham manning the middle.. ik that can change in a heart beat tho while Minter will have to play 2nd fiddle to washington and Ogletree to laurinaitis for the forseable future .. all the while it sounds like bostic could be the man as early as 2014..
I also like the other kid they drafted Khaseem Greene he is a tack machine on tape what are your thought on him if you would?

Re: Jon Bostic

I just didn't think Bostic looked as good as the Bears thought he did on tape. Also, D.J. Williams is a very good player in his own right. I think Bostic is a top 5 rookie linebacker in all likelihood, but I'm not banking on him over Arthur Brown or Ogletree at this point.

Greene has a good shot at taking over Briggs' spot sometime in the near future (although Briggs is still playing well). I think he has LB2-/LB3+ future value.

Re: Jon Bostic

There are beginning to be a few whispers about Bostic starting over D.J. Williams in week 1.  Now that D.J. is struggling to return to the field in camp, do you have any guess how likely this is even though he is supposed to be ready to go by week 1?

If Bostic does steal the job, can we expect him to be an every-down kinda guy?  Where do you have him on your list if he ends up starting all year?

Re: Jon Bostic

BOSTIC IS MUCH BETTER THAN GURU'S EVALUATION. HE IS THE FASTEST INSIDE LB IN THE 2013 DRAFT. IN FACT HES BIGGER AND RAN FASTER THAN THE OVERRATED ARTHUR BROWN. WORST AND MOST UNINFORMED EVALUATION I HAVE SEEN.

Re: Jon Bostic

Man, you are really hitting me hard on my Bostic evaluation haha. As mentioned previously, I think he's a top 5 rookie fantasy LB, but I'd prefer to have Arthur Brown over him for fantasy purposes. There's a chance he plays every down, but he's got some obstacles to overcome. He's a hell of a hitter, but he still lacks elite quickness and has to work on his strength to be a top notch inside linebacker. Appreciate your thoughts.
