Jarvis Jones

I picked up Jarvis Jones as a last-round flyer in the draft.  He just got his first start last week and had 7 tackles and 1 assist.  What are your thoughts about the prospects for Jones over the rest of the year?  He's playing in James Harrison's old position, I believe, and I've read that he's an extremely talented rookie, but I haven't actually seen him play.  How likely is it that he is this year's Luke Kuechly?

Re: Jarvis Jones

Not going to be this year's Luke Kuechly. He's playing on the outside, so games where he has 6+ solos are going to be slim in all likelihood. He's more of a big play option at that position. I'd sit until we see more than 1 good game out of him.

Re: Jarvis Jones

Thanks, Guru! :)  So do you think it would be a good idea to cut Jones for, say, Pat Angerer?  And should I be starting Angerer instead of Donald Butler?  Can't tell if Butler is too hurt to play or not, but I *thought* he went through a full practice on Friday.

Re: Jarvis Jones

Butler will play. Angerer is OUT this week, so don't pick him up unless you are going to bench him and then play him next week. I'd still play Butler over Angerer even when healthy.
