IDP Return Men

In all my leagues there is IDP, but also pts for return yardage and TDs. Most of the return guys are OFF players or specialists, but there are a couple of IDPers who return kicks and are decent IDP.

I'm thinking of Patrick Peterson and Lardarius Webb. (any others?)

My question is would you consider skipping over some of the better DBs (Wilson, Berry, Branch, Harper et al) in favor of a guy who can get you some RET pts as well as IDP pts? The scoring varies by league for the return yardage, but most return TDs are 6 pts.

I'm finding in mock drafts when the scramble for DBs is on Peterson and Webb are often ignored. I'm not sure if I should join the scramble or sit back and wait for these two guys.

the nickel corner for KC does but I'd be careful focusing on peterson bc he was so up and down so it depends how the rest of ur team looks

Yes, in most leagues without IDP you see Def/Special Teams where you choose a team. Those usually count return TDs, but no pts for individual performance. I'm in one league that has this PLUS IDP.

My question was related to IDP who can get pts for tackles, passes defended, interceptions, etc. and, in the case of Peterson and Webb, pts for return yardage and TDs.

Webb is listed near the bottom and Peterson not at all in the Guru's IDP Guide for DBs, but shouldn't they get a higher rating in leagues with ret yardage/TDs for IDPs?

I think Arenas is the player in KC and he might be a decent return man, but I don't see much if any IDP value unless someone like Berry gets hurt again.

I have Webb ranked #29 and Peterson at #42 in the draft guide. Those rankings assume "normal" scoring systems without points for reward yardage. Peterson is a top 5 DB in the majority of leagues that reward for return yards/TDs and Webb is a top 10-15, so I definitely think it pays to wait on those guys if you can steal them later in drafts.
