Collin McCarthy

Is it time to pull the plug on McCarthy now that Fokou has been named the starter?  I'm thinking about putting in a waiver request for either Houston or Beason, dropping McCarthy.  Do we think that he will regain the job sooner than later?

I don't think there's much doubt that McCarthy is the better player when healthy. However, he's really struggled to stay healthy over his NFL career and I think the Titans are a bit frustrated with him at this point. If I had to guess, I would assume McCarthy becomes the starter again sooner rather than later, but he's a big risk at this point and definitely has a short leash even if he cracks the starting lineup again.

That said, I've bumped McCarthy way down in my rankings. I'd take him as an LB4/5 but he's likely to be drafted my someone at a draft slot higher than that, so in all likelihood, he won't be on any of my rosters. Which is fine with me as the linebacker class is quite deep.
