He's listed as a safety, but last year played some WLB due to injuries on the Bills team (I road that one to a good stretch of tackle heavy production). This year I see him listed as back up SS to Whitner in their 3-4 scheme and as starting FS and WLB in their 4-3. Any thoughts?
With the recent injury to Jairus Byrd, George Wilson will more than likely slide into the free safety spot with Donte Whitner remaining at strong safety. This bumps Scott up to 2nd string strong safety. So if either Wilson or Whitner goes down, Scott would assume a starting role. For now, however, he remains a backup and his fantasy value is therefore quite limited. I actually like Whitner a lot this season (assuming he can stay healthy). He's got the best chance of anyone in the secondary to put up solid tackle numbers.
