Hi guru, this is the best IDP site on the web. Your advice helped me to win 2 of my leagues last year. On tomorrow, I will be drafting in a Big Play IDP league with unique scoring and settings. I definitely need your expert advice. Here's the scoop:
The most Fantasy Points (FPs) are awarded for defensive scores (e.g., TD=25 FPs); then for turnovers; setbacks (e.g., sacks) and finally for stops (e.g., Tackle=0.6 FPs). In this case, drafting tackling machines who don't get many takeaways may not be a good idea.
Defensive scoring is as follows:
Sacks = 4.5
Solos = .6
Assists = 0.3
INTs = 8
FFs = 5
Fumble recovery = 8
DEF TDs = 25
Safety = 10
Pass Def = 2
Blocked Kicks = 5
Tackles Loss = 2
Roster positions: D, D, D, D, DB, DB, DB, DB, DL, DL, DL, LB, LB, LB, LB, BN, BN
So I have two questions.
1. What players should I target first - LBs, DEs, Safeties?
2. Can you name some of the top players by position with Big Play potential that I should target?
Any advice is greatly appreciated!
Thank you in advance,
T. Watts
