Ayers or McCarthy? Babs update?

I just realized that Ayers is available.  I've got McCarthy who didnt do so well today.
Is Ayers a better bet than McCarthy?

Babineaux had a bad day....any update on if he'll remain a 2 down back?  (Coleman and Donte Whitner and Dashon Goldson of SF are available)

McCarthy missed most of the game, he got hurt but they said he was walking around on the sideline so I'm hoping hes ok....I would also like a Babs update bc after today I'd probably drop him seeing he wasn't on the field that much it seemed

i know it sounds crazy, but i dropped mccarthy for woodyard. i do realize that mccarthy was hurt, but woodyard was all over the field last night. 12-0 and a sack! my other options to drop were dansby,
lofton, and dq jax. like i said, most on this site will probably think i'm nuts, but dansby is gonna be a beast this year in the 4-3 and lofton always gets his. mccarthy flashed moments of superb ability last year, but was uneventful down the stretch. not to mention that a mlb with a bum ankle equals significantly less value. sure, dj williams comes back for the broncos after six games, but i think woodyard will be entrenched at the position even after an aging dj comes back.

A bit crazy to drop McCarthy at this point. Woodyard is gonna be a very nice tackle producing. Let's just hope that doesn't change if/when D.J. Williams comes back.

Babineaux only played 12 snaps compared to 65 for Robert Johnson. It's best to ignore that safety position for now until things get worked out as it looks Babs has lost out on the starting position. There are a lot of good DB waiver wire options out there this week, so I would go there if you need to pick someone up.
