I have Posluszny, Donald Butler, and Ray Lewis going back to back to back in bye weeks, starting next week. I am confident that both Angerer and McCarthy will pass through waivers tonight, and want to pick one of them up, to give me quality play at LB for the next month.
I think they both will be monsters when they are healthy, but it seems to me Angerer's diagnosis is a little healthier, a little sooner. With an eye on weeks 6,7, and 8, what would you advise?
Angerer vs NYJ, vs CLE, vs TEN
McCarthy vs PIT, vs BUF, vs IND
With MLBs, when in doubt, I tend to go after guys on teams that will be stomped early, so they have lots of clock killing mop up duty time in the fourth to amass solid tackle numbers. Tennessee may get blown out by Pittsburgh, but otherwise I see most of these games as either shootouts, or conversely, horribly inept offenses taking turns hitting each other with a wiffle ball bat. Any advice? I'll be monitoring the injury report of course.
